JG Wentworth filed a voluntary reorganization plan under Chapter 11 of the U. S. Bankruptcy Code in the U. S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. In December 2008, JG Wentworth laid off 120 of its 200 employees and closed its Las Vegas office.
